Refund policy

What do I do if there is a problem with my order?

The first thing you should do is give us a call at (559)221-0233 and speak with one of our sales staff, between the hours of 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (PST) Monday through Saturday. We will do our best in resolving whatever issue you may have with your order.  If you wish to contact us during off hours, you can fill out the "Contact Us" form with your order number and we will get back to you in a timely matter.

Returns
Our policy lasts 14 days for new items, 3 days from completed delivery for used items, and no returns on "as is" / "Clearance Bucket" items. Unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange if 14 days have gone by since your purchase (new items) or 3 days from completed delivery for used items. *we do not accept returns from international buyers. 


To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned: Reeds, Drumsticks, Books, DVD's, Microphones, Harmonicas, mouthpieces, valve oil, mouthpiece cleanser, and "Clearance Bucket" items. 

Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards

-"Special orders, and unique items"- items not listed on the website or in our physical stores inventory. This also includes drop shipped items from the manufacture. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.  

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Any item we receive within the return window that is not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned after the return window. (we only do this on a case by case basis and reserve the right to hold true to our policy on that item)

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a 3-7 business days. Customer is responsible for paying the return shipping on an item. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at americanmusicfresno@gmail.com.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at americanmusicfresno@gmail.com and send your item to: American Music Company, 2597 East Ashlan Avenue, Fresno CA 93726, United States.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be credited to you via email.  

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will not find out about your return.

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: American Music Company, 2597 East Ashlan Avenue, Fresno CA 93726, United States

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Buyer is responsible for the item till we receive the item. 

Warranty

All of our items comes with a manufacture warranty unless noted in the products description. Please check directly with the manufacture to see what their warranty program is for that product. We do not offer "extended warranties. "As is" items have no warranties and cannot be refunded and or exchanged. Used items have a 3 day guarantee and can only be exchanged for another in stock item.

*International Buyers: 

Please contact the manufacture about their warranty terms and conditions for your country. We are not responsible if the item arrives with a manufacture defect and you cannot file a warranty claim in your area. If you like, we can "play test" most items at no additional cost prior to shipment to try to prevent this issue. This does not add a warranty or add a guarantee to the item, it only reassures that the item is functioning as intended prior to shipment.
